Access for All Scholarship

Supporting educators from small, regional, and remote schools to connect, grow, and thrive
At Active Education Australia, we believe all teachers - regardless of their location or school size - should have access to high-quality professional learning. Our Access for All Scholarship supports educators from small, regional, and remote schools to attend the 2025 ACHPER Victoria State Conference on 20-21 November.

These scholarships are designed to reduce barriers to participation, ensuring our conference represents the full diversity of school communities across Australia.

What the Scholarship Includes
Option A – Full Experience Scholarship (valued up to $890):·       
 - Full two-day conference registration
 - Access to all keynotes, workshops, exhibition space and networking function
- $295 subsidy to assist with either accommodation or relief staff cover 

Option B – One-Day Scholarship (valued up to $650)
- One-day registration (Thursday OR Friday)
- Access to sessions and exhibition from that day
- $185 subsidy to assist with either accommodation or relief staff cover

Subsidies will be paid to the school post-conference upon attendance confirmation. Travel and accommodation arrangements remain the responsibility of the recipient.

Who Can Apply
You are eligible to apply if you meet one or more of the following criteria:
- You work at a small school (enrolment under 150 students)
- You work in a regional or remote location (see note below)
- You are a current Active Education Australia (formerly ACHPER Victoria) member
- You have principal endorsement to attend
- You can commit to attending all elements of the scholarship option selected

What does regional or remote mean?
Regional and remote includes schools located outside of major metropolitan areas including outer regional towns, rural communities, andgeographically isolated areas. You can check your school’s classification using the
ABS Remoteness Area Map:

Priority will be given to first-time applicants and those who have not previously attended the State Conference.


How to Apply

Please complete the online application form, including the following questions:

1. School details (Name, enrolment size, location)
2. Briefly describe your school context (100–150 words)
3. Explain how attending this conference will benefit you, your students, or your school (3 key points)
4. Have you attended this conference before? (Yes/No)
5. Principal endorsement: A short statement or signature from your principal supporting your attendance

If you register early via the conference portal to secure your spot, please wait to make payment until the outcome of your scholarship application is confirmed. 

Post-Conference Contribution
We ask all scholarship recipients to share one short reflection, takeaway, or photo after the event that may be used in future promotions to help inspire and support others in accessing this opportunity.

Cancellation Policy
By applying for a scholarship, you agree to the following cancellation terms:·        
Cancellations 7–14 days prior to the conference will incur a 50% charge of the standard member registration·       
Subsidies will only be processed after confirmed attendance·        
Any accommodation or travel cancellations are subject to provider terms and are the sole responsibility of the scholarship recipient.
